In Friday's non-league contest, the Castle Knights (Newburgh, IN) softball team overwhelmed the host East Peoria Raiders (East Peoria, IL), by a margin of 12-5.
With the triumph, Castle moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Knights travel to White County (Sparta, TN) to play the Warriors in a non-league contest on Friday, March 25. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 8-1. White County won 9-0 in their recent league contest against Macon County (Lafayette, TN)
In their next game, the Raiders play the Coffee County Central Red Raiders (Manchester, TN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 26. East Peoria will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Red Raiders come into the contest with a 5-4 record after their 13-4 non-league loss to South Elgin (South Elgin, IL).
