In Friday's non-league contest, the D'Hanis Cowboys (D'Hanis, TX) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Providence Catholic Provets (San Antonio, TX), by a margin of 12-2.

With the triumph, D'Hanis moves its record to 11-5 on the year. The Cowboys host Knippa (Knippa, TX) to play the Crushers in a 1A Region IV District 31 contest on Tuesday, March 29. The Crushers come into the contest with a record of 0-1. Knippa lost 18-3 in their recent non-league contest against Sabinal (Sabinal, TX)

In their next game, the Provets play the Incarnate Word Academy Angels (Corpus Christi, TX) in a TAPPS Division II District 3 contest, on Monday, March 28. Providence Catholic will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Angels come into the contest with a 17-2 record after their 10-5 league win over Geneva (Boerne, TX).
