Head-Royce Jayhawks (Oakland, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting The Bay School Breakers (San Francisco, CA), 9-6 in a league challenge.

The Jayhawks now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host California School for the Deaf for a challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Head-Royce will face a Eagles squad coming off a 18-8 league loss to Redwood Christian (San Lorenzo, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, The Bay School falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Breakers host St. Joseph Notre Dame (Alameda, CA) to face the Pilots in a Bay Counties - East challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Pilots enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. St. Joseph Notre Dame won 17-0 in their recent league challenge against California School for the Deaf (Fremont, CA)
