In Friday's non-league contest, the Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL) softball team the visiting Marshall County Marshals (Benton, KY), by a margin of 5-3.

With the triumph, Massac County moves its record to 3-2 on the year. The Patriots travel to Graves County (Mayfield, KY) to play the Eagles in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 26. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 3-2. Graves County won 12-1 in their recent non-league contest against Goreville (Goreville, IL)
