The Monroe Vikings baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting South Gate Rams to 6 in the Vikings non-league victory on Saturday.
The Vikings (4-6) will now prepare for their match against Poly (Sun Valley, CA). The Parrots go into the East Valley match with a 5-7 record. In their last match, Poly edged Verdugo Hills (Tujunga, CA), 5-1, in a league match.
The Rams (6-2) will now prepare for their match against Garfield (Los Angeles, CA). The Bulldogs go into the Eastern match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Garfield edged South East (South Gate, CA), 2-1, in a league match.
