The Wayne Academy Jaguars baseball team (Waynesboro, MS), was overwhelmed 4-0 in Saturday's non-league outing with the host West Jones Mustangs (Laurel, MS)
The Mustangs now hold a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Florence for a outing on Tuesday, March 28. West Jones will confront a Eagles team coming off a 10-0 league win over Natchez (Natchez, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 9-7.
Next, the Jaguars confront the Lamar Christian Lions (Purvis, MS) in a MAIS AA District 4 outing, on Tuesday, March 28. Wayne Academy will attempt to advance on its 4-5 season record. The Lions go into the outing with a 10-7 record after their 10-8 non-league win over Sacred Heart (Hattiesburg, MS).
