Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Yreka Miners (Yreka, CA), 10-9 in a non-league challenge.
The Miners now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chico for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Nevada Union will face a Panthers squad coming off a 9-8 non-league win over Foothill (Palo Cedro, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-3.
With the loss, Yreka falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Lassen (Susanville, CA) to face the Grizzlies in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 25. The Grizzlies enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Lassen 8-8 in their recent non-league challenge against West Valley (Cottonwood, CA)
