Bernalillo Spartans (Bernalillo, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM), 13-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hope Christian for a 4A District 6 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Bernalillo will battle a Huskies squad coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM). The Huskies record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Valencia falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Grants (Grants, NM) to battle the Pirates in a 4A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 1-9. Grants lost 22-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Miyamura (Gallup, NM)
