Centennial Patriots (Boise, ID) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Caldwell Cougars (Caldwell, ID), 13-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rocky Mountain for a 5A Southern Idaho challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Centennial will face a Grizzlies squad coming off a 17-6 non-league win over Weiser (Weiser, ID). The Grizzlies record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Caldwell falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Ridgevue (Nampa, ID) to face the Warhawks in a 4A Southern Idaho challenge on Thursday, March 30. The Warhawks enter the challenge with a record of 2-7.
