Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM), 17-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they host Volcano Vista for a 5A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Cibola will battle a Hawks squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM). The Hawks record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Valley falls to 4-11 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to battle the Chargers in a 4A District 6 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Albuquerque Academy won 12-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Grants (Grants, NM)
