Eldorado Golden Eagles (Albuquerque, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Tularosa Wildcats (Tularosa, NM), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 7-8 record. They take the field next when they host Piedra Vista for a 5A District 2 challenge on Friday, March 31.

With the loss, Tularosa falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM) to face the Desert Warriors in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 28.
