Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Marion Patriots (Marion, AR), 9-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they host Rivercrest for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 27. Hernando will face a Colts squad coming off a 11-4 non-league loss to East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR). The Colts record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Marion falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Valley View (Jonesboro, AR) to face the Blazers in a 4A-3 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Blazers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
