California High School Softball - St. Paul holds off Mayfair

St. Paul Swordsmen (Santa Fe Springs, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mayfair Monsoons (Lakewood, CA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Swordsmen now sport a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mary Star of the Sea for a Del Rey challenge on Tuesday, March 28. St. Paul will face a Stars squad coming off a 6-1 non-league loss to Whittier Christian (La Habra, CA). The Stars record now stands at 10-4.
With the loss, Mayfair falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Monsoons travel to Gahr (Cerritos, CA) to face the Gladiators in a San Gabriel Valley challenge on Monday, March 27. The Gladiators enter the challenge with a record of 7-4.
