In Monday's non-league game, the visiting Goreville Blackcats baseball team scored a nice 15-2 victory over the Gallatin County Hawks.
The Blackcats (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Egyptian (Tamms, IL). The Pharaohs go into the non-league game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Egyptian was overwhelmed by Vienna (Vienna, IL), 20-0, in a non-league game.
The Hawks (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Pope County (Golconda, IL). The Pirates go into the Greater Egyptian game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Pope County was overwhelmed by Hardin County (Elizabethtown, IL), 5-1, in a league game.
