The Marysville Monarchs lacrosse team scored 8 points and held the host New Hanover Wildcats to 7 in the Monarchs non-league win on Monday.
The Monarchs (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Laney (Wilmington, NC). The Buccaneers go into the non-league game with a 7-3 record. In their last game, Laney nudged South Brunswick (Southport, NC), 15-1, in a league game.
The Wildcats (2-8) will now prepare for their game against West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Trojans go into the Mideastern game with a 0-6 record. In their last game, West Brunswick was tipped by Hoggard (Wilmington, NC), 19-2, in a league game.
