Ohio High School Softball - Johnstown-Monroe bounces Big Walnut

March 25, 2024: Johnstown, OH 43031

Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (Johnstown, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Big Walnut Golden Eagles (Sunbury, OH), 16-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Johnnies now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Bishop Watterson for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 27. Johnstown-Monroe will face a Eagles squad coming off a 9-7 non-league win over Bloom-Carroll (Carroll, OH). The Eagles record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Big Walnut falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Golden eagles host Dublin Jerome (Dublin, OH) to face the Celtics in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 27. The Celtics enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Dublin Jerome lost 14-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Lincoln (Gahanna, OH)
