Taylor Yellowjackets (Cleves, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cooper Jaguars (Union, KY), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Yellowjackets now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Ursuline Academy for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 26.

With the loss, Cooper falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Scott (Covington, KY) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 27. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Scott won 14-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Grant County (Dry Ridge, KY)
