Marshall County Tigers (Lewisburg, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Dobyns-Bennett Indians (Kingsport, TN), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Athens for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 27. Marshall County will battle a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Washington (Washington, IL). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, Dobyns-Bennett falls to 4-1 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Gibson Southern (Fort Branch, IN) to battle the Titans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Gibson Southern lost 8-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Smyrna (Smyrna, TN)
