The Golden Valley Cougars softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Hilmar Yellowjackets to 0 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Golden Valley improves its record to 4-8 on the year. The Cougars travel to El Capitan (Merced, CA) to clash with the Gauchos in a Central California Conference game on Wednesday, March 27. The Gauchos come into the game with a record of 0-3. El Capitan lost 10-9 in their recent league game against Central Valley (Ceres, CA)

In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Stone Ridge Christian Knights (Merced, CA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 26. Hilmar will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Knights come into the game with a 5-2 record after their 15-1 non-league win over Livingston (Livingston, CA).
