Warwick Raiders (Newport News, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA), 22-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Menchville for a Peninsula challenge on Tuesday, March 26. Warwick will battle a Monarchs squad coming off a 8-4 non-league loss to Hickory (Chesapeake, VA). The Monarchs record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Indian River falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Braves host Hickory (Chesapeake, VA) to battle the Hawks in a Southeastern challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 4-0. Hickory won 8-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Menchville (Newport News, VA)
