The Spartans now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Herrin for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 26. Waltonville will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 24-8 non-league loss to Johnston City (Johnston City, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Mt. Vernon falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Carmi-White County (Carmi, IL) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 26.
