The now sport a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Belle Chasse for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 26. Thomas Jefferson will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Riverdale (Jefferson, LA). The Cardinals record now stands at 12-7.

With the loss, Newman falls to 10-3 on the campaign. The Greenies host Metairie Park Country Day (Metairie, LA) to face the Cajuns in a 2A District 10 challenge on Wednesday, March 27. The Cajuns enter the challenge with a record of 18-2. Metairie Park Country Day lost 15-2 in their recent league challenge against St. Charles Catholic (LaPlace, LA)
