Virginia High School Softball - Riverside bounces South County

Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Riverside Beavers (Painesville, OH) and the host South County Stallions (Lorton, VA), witnessed Riverside's softball squad prevail over South County by a count of 13-5.

The Beavers now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Greenbrier East for a non-league match on Tuesday, March 26. Riverside will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Lake Braddock (Burke, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, South County moves to 3-3 on the season. The Stallions travel to George Washington (Charleston, WV) to meet the Patriots in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 26. The Patriots go into the match with a record of 8-2. George Washington won 18-4 in their recent non-league match against Tippecanoe (Tipp City, OH)
