The Shiprock Chieftains baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Zuni Thunderbirds to 1 in the Chieftains non-league win on Tuesday.
The Chieftains now own a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they host Navajo Prep for a non-league test on Friday, March 28. Shiprock will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 13-9 non-league loss to Hozho Academy (Gallup, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 1-9.
With the defeat, Zuni drops to 2-6 on the year. The Thunderbirds host Gallup (Gallup, NM) to clash with the Bengals in a non-league test on Thursday, March 27. The Bengals go into the test with a record of 2-7. Gallup lost 5-4 in their recent non-league test against Rehoboth Christian (Rehoboth, NM)
