Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC) and the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), saw South Iredell's soccer squad triumph over Alexander Central by a count of 5-0.

The Vikings (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC). The Ragin' Bulls enter the Greater Metro 4A battle with a 8-0 record. In their last battle, Hickory Ridge tipped Mooresville (Mooresville, NC), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Cougars battle the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A battle, on Thursday, March 27. Alexander Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Spartans enter the battle with a 6-2 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Garinger (Charlotte, NC).
