Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) and the host Forsyth Central Bulldogs (Cumming, GA), saw Cherokee Bluff's soccer squad hold off Forsyth Central by a count of 2-1.
The Bears (7-5) will now prepare for their battle against West Hall (Oakwood, GA). The Spartans enter the 3A Region 8 battle with a 0-11 record. In their last battle, West Hall was edged by Monroe Area (Monroe, GA), 10-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Bulldogs battle the North Forsyth Raiders (Cumming, GA) in a 6A Region 6 battle, on Thursday, March 27. Forsyth Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Raiders enter the battle with a 2-8 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Wesleyan (Norcross, GA).
