North Carolina High School Soccer - Smoky Mountain knocks off Highlands

The Smoky Mountain Mustangs soccer squad scored 11 points and held the visiting Highlands Highlanders to 2 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Mustangs now hold a 9-2 record. They play next when they host Hendersonville for a non-league bout on Thursday, March 27. Smoky Mountain will play a Bearcats squad coming off a 9-0 league win over Chase (Forest City, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 5-1.
With the loss, Highlands moves to 4-2 on the year. The Highlanders host Murphy (Murphy, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a Smoky Mountain 1A bout on Thursday, March 27. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Murphy lost 2-1 in their recent league bout against Swain County (Bryson City, NC)
