Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Phoebus Phantoms (Hampton, VA), 8-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Woodside moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to York (Yorktown, VA) to meet the Falcons in a non-league test on Thursday, March 27. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 1-2. York lost 10-0 in their recent non-league test against Menchville (Newport News, VA)

The Phantoms now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Manor for a non-league test on Monday, March 31. Phoebus will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 6-2 league loss to Granby (Norfolk, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-2.
