The Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) baseball the visiting Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), 5-3 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Caldwell for a challenge on Friday, March 28. Ashe County will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 8-2.

With the defeat, Freedom drops to 0-4 on the year. The Patriots host Watauga (Boone, NC) to clash with the Pioneers in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 28. The Pioneers go into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Watauga won 12-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC)
