The Hempfield Area Spartans softball team scored 5 runs and held the host North Allegheny Tigers to 4 in the Spartans non-league win on Tuesday.
The Spartans now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Uniontown for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 27.
With the loss, North Allegheny moves to 0-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Canon-McMillan (Canonsburg, PA) to confront the Big Macs in a non-league battle on Thursday, March 27. The Big Macs come into the battle with a record of 0-1. Canon-McMillan lost 6-1 in their recent non-league battle against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC)
