Fans at Tuesday's league test between the Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA) and the visiting Upper Darby Royals (Drexel Hill, PA), witnessed Springfield's lacrosse squad top Upper Darby by a count of 18-0.
The Cougars (3-0) will now prepare for their test against Ridley (Folsom, PA). The Raiders enter the Central test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Ridley was overwhelmed by Garnet Valley (Glen Mills, PA), 8-7, in a league test.
Next, the Royals battle the Penncrest Lions (Media, PA) in a Central test, on Thursday, March 27. Upper Darby will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
Game Summary
Springfield controlled the game from the get go getting off to a (-) goal lead at the end of the first quarter. The cougars never looked back with help from the Underclassmen getting them to a 18-0 victory over the Royals of Upper Darby. The Cougars look ahead to a Friday night game against rival Ridley Green Raiders.
