Bremen Lions (Bremen, IN) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Central Noble Cougars (Albion, IN), 4-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Bremen upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Lions host Manchester (North Manchester, IN) to play the Squires in a non-league game on Wednesday, March 26. The Squires enter the game with a record of 1-0. Manchester won 11-1 in their recent non-league game against New Haven (New Haven, IN)
The Cougars now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Madison-Grant for a non-league game on Thursday, April 3.

Bremen Lady Lions Softball Win Opener 4-1 over Central Noble
The Lady Lions got off to a hot start on a cool, windy day in Albion enroute to a 4-1 road victory.
Eliana Grubbs lead-off with a triple & an errant throw allowed her to score. Chrissy Grabowski followed Grubbs with a solo home run giving the Lions a 2-0 lead after two batters. In the 2nd inning, Peyton Johnson walked, Grubbs singled & Grabowski doubled plating Johnson & Grubbs.
Lions up 4-0 after two innings, but in the bottom of the frame Kennedy Vice hit the first pitch she saw for a solo home run cutting the lead to 4-1.
Grubbs & Delainey Neher had 3 hits each, Grabowski & Kali Milleman added a pair of hits for 10 hit attack for the Lions.
Grabowski tossed a gem from the circle allowing only two hits while fanning 6.
