The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Opelousas Catholic Vikings (Opelousas, LA) and the visiting Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA), observed Opelousas Catholic's softball team get by Catholic of Pointe Coupee by a tally of 6-0.
The Vikings (9-9) will now prepare for their bout against Loreauville (Loreauville, LA). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 11-12 record. In their last bout, Loreauville tipped Franklin (Franklin, LA), 16-0, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Hornets clash with the St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA) in a 1A District 6 bout, on Thursday, March 27. Catholic of Pointe Coupee will attempt to advance on its 15-6 season record.
