The Central Wildcats triumphed over the visiting Liberty Magnet Patriots softball squad by a count of 27-3 in Tuesday's league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats play the Zachary Broncos (Zachary, LA) in a 5A District 4 challenge, on Thursday, March 27. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Broncos enter the challenge with a 11-7 record after their 13-5 non-league win over Central Private (Baker, LA).
The Patriots (4-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Port Allen (Port Allen, LA). The Pelicans enter the non-league challenge with a 4-8 record. In their last challenge, Port Allen was routed by West Feliciana (St. Francisville, LA), 18-5, in a non-league challenge.
