Chelsea Hornets (Chelsea, AL) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL), 11-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Chelsea upgrades its record to 18-8 on the year. The Hornets host Leeds (Leeds, AL) to play the Greenwave in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 1. The Greenwave enter the game with a record of 8-11.
The Cougars now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Whitney Young for a non-league game on Thursday, March 27. Vernon Hills will play a Dolphins squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Sumiton Christian (Sumiton, AL). The Dolphins record now stands at 1-3.
