West Lauderdale Knights (Collinsville, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS), 11-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, West Lauderdale upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Knights travel to Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, MS) to battle the Warriors in a 4A Region 4 test on Tuesday, March 29. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 0-11.

With the defeat, Newton County falls to 5-13 on the season. The Cougars travel to Quitman (Quitman, MS) to battle the Panthers in a 4A Region 5 test on Tuesday, March 29. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 10-6. Quitman won 6-5 in their recent non-league test against Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS)
