In Saturday's non-league game, the host Mooresville Blue Devils baseball team scored a tight 7-6 victory over the East Rowan Mustangs.
The Blue Devils (4-2) will now prepare for their game against South Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Vikings go into the game with a 6-3 record. In their last game, South Iredell was edged by Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC), 8-2, in a league game.
The Mustangs (8-2) will now prepare for their game against Carson (China Grove, NC). The Cougars go into the game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Carson tipped South Rowan (China Grove, NC), 6-2, in a non-league game.
