Northeast Jones Tigers (Laurel, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Meridian Wildcats (Meridian, MS), 6-5 in a non-league test.
With the win, Northeast Jones upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season.
With the defeat, Meridian falls to 0-3 on the season. The Wildcats host Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS) to battle the Warriors in a test on Tuesday, April 5. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 1-0.
