The Payson Lions softball squad scored 7 runs and restricted the host Pleasant Grove Vikings to 6 in the Lions non-league victory on Saturday.

The Lions (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Duchesne (Duchesne, UT). The Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.

The Vikings now sport a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Lone Peak for a battle on Thursday, March 31. Pleasant Grove will meet a Knights squad coming off a 13-2 non-league loss to Juab (Nephi, UT). The Knights record now stands at 2-3.
