Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA) supporters were thrilled Saturday as they observed their lacrosse team overcome the host Wissahickon Trojans (Ambler, PA), 14-6 in a non-league game.

The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Marple Newtown (Newtown Square, PA). The Fightin' Tigers go into the Central game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Marple Newtown prevailed over Devon Prep (Devon, PA), 19-4, in a non-league battle.

In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Downingtown East Cougars (Exton, PA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, March 29. Wissahickon will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
