The Smithville Seminoles softball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Aberdeen Bulldogs to 1 in the Seminoles non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Smithville moves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Seminoles travel to West Union (Myrtle, MS) to clash with the Eagles in a 1A Region 2 game on Tuesday, March 29. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 4-7. West Union won 18-6 in their recent league game against Ingomar (New Albany, MS)

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Amory Panthers (Amory, MS) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 26. Aberdeen will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 3-3 record after their 13-11 league win over Nettleton (Nettleton, MS).
