Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM), 24-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Volcano Vista for a 5A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Cibola will face a Hawks squad coming off a 11-10 non-league loss to Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM). The Hawks record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Capital falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM) to face the Ravens in a 5A District 5 challenge on Saturday, April 2. The Ravens enter the challenge with a record of 6-6.
