Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Choctaw Central Warriors (Philadelphia, MS) and the visiting Pearl Pirates (Pearl, MS), witnessed Choctaw Central's softball squad tip Pearl by a count of 9-6.

The Warriors now sport a 3-0 record. They play next when they host Kosciusko for a 4A Region 4 match on Thursday, March 31. Choctaw Central will meet a Whippets squad coming off a 13-0 league win over Leake Central (Carthage, MS). The Whippets record now stands at 14-3.

With the loss, Pearl moves to 9-8 on the season. The Pirates travel to South Jones (Ellisville, MS) to meet the Braves in a non-league match on Saturday, March 26. The Braves go into the match with a record of 1-5. South Jones lost 10-3 in their recent non-league match against Vancleave (Vancleave, MS)
