In Saturday's non-league contest, the Crater Comets (Central Point, OR) softball team overwhelmed the host Churchill County Greenwave (Fallon, NV), by a margin of 9-4.
With the triumph, Crater moves its record to 2-2 on the year. The Comets host Willamette (Eugene, OR) to play the Wolverines in a 5A Midwestern contest on Wednesday, March 30. The Wolverines come into the contest with a record of 0-1.
In their next game, the Greenwave play the Damonte Ranch Mustangs (Reno, NV) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 26. Churchill County will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record. The Mustangs come into the contest with a 1-9 record after their 15-1 non-league loss to Heritage (Brentwood, CA).
