In Saturday's non-league contest, the Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Tularosa Wildcats (Tularosa, NM), by a margin of 16-2.
With the triumph, Cobre moves its record to 9-7 on the year. The Indians host Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM) to play the Desert Warriors in a non-league contest on Wednesday, March 30. In their next game, the Wildcats play the Ruidoso Warriors (Ruidoso, NM) in a non-league contest, on Monday, March 28. Tularosa will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Warriors come into the contest with a 4-2 record after their 16-6 non-league win over Hatch Valley (Hatch, NM).
