Delmarva Christian Royals (Georgetown, DE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Royals now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Decatur for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 28. Delmarva Christian will battle a Seahawks squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over North Caroline (Ridgely, MD). The Seahawks record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Smyrna falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Sussex Tech (Georgetown, DE) to battle the Ravens in a Henlopen - Northern challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Ravens enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
