The Hawthorne Cougars softball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting Serra Cavaliers to 7 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Hawthorne moves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Cougars host Morningside (Inglewood, CA) to clash with the Monarchs in a Pioneer game on Thursday, March 31. The Monarchs come into the game with a record of 0-1.

In their next game, the Cavaliers clash with the Bishop Montgomery Knights (Torrance, CA) in a Camino Real game, on Tuesday, March 29. Serra will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Knights come into the game with a 6-6 record after their 19-1 league win over Pomona Catholic (Pomona, CA).
