Washington Patriots (Charles Town, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Moorefield Yellow Jackets (Moorefield, WV), 22-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Spring Mills for a Eastern Panhandle challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Washington will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 13-2 league win over Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Moorefield falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets host Keyser (Keyser, WV) to face the Golden Tornado in a Western Maryland challenge on Wednesday, March 30. The Golden Tornado enter the challenge with a record of 9-1. Keyser won 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Berkeley Springs (Berkeley Springs, WV)
