Smith County Owls (Carthage, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Pigeon Forge Tigers (Pigeon Forge, TN), 25-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Owls now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Trousdale County for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 31. Smith County will battle a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 13-5 non-league loss to Watertown (Watertown, TN). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Pigeon Forge falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Union County (Maynardville, TN) to battle the Patriots in a 2A District 2 challenge on Monday, March 28. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 5-3.
