Pittston Patriots (Pittston, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Scranton Prep Cavaliers (Scranton, PA), 15-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hanover Area for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 30.

In their next game, the Cavaliers clash with the Abington Heights Comets (Clarks Summit, PA) in a Lackawanna 1 game, on Friday, April 1. Scranton Prep will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
